BarTender Trial Guide

This trial quick guide will help guide you through the steps of registering for your account, downloading the BarTender software, and printing your first label. 

1. Creating your BarTender Portal Account

Registering for your BarTender Portal Account is a simple process with a few quick steps:

To register for the portal, go to the registration page and click 'sign up' to enter your email address and your desired password.

Click 'sign up' and you will be redirected to a confirmation page.

Check your email to confirm your account creation. In the email, click the link to confirm your account.

Continue the account set up process by filling out the registration form. Once complete, access the portal with your login information created from Step 1 to download BarTender and access your product key code.

2. Introduction to the BarTender Portal

The BarTender Portal hosts your BarTender account information and can be accessed by clicking the "person" icon on the top right of the main website.

Once you sign into the Portal, you can access all of your BarTender account information such as:

  • Licenses
  • Downloads
  • Your BarTender account information
  • Quotes
  • Order history
  • Access/link to the BarTender support center

  • 1. Licenses

    View all of your licenses with all related license information including product key, support number, edition, version, license type, printers, maintenance status, maintenance months remaining, and quotes. View your licenses by year or view your entire history of BarTender licenses. 

  • 2. Downloads

    The BarTender Download Center is where you can download the latest version of BarTender or download BarTender Printer Drivers. Downloading BarTender from either the ‘Download BarTender’ page or the ‘30-day Trial’ page will provide you the same BarTender installation package. For trial users, click ‘30-day Trial’ to access your product key code (PKC) and download BarTender 2022. 

  • 3. Your Info

    View and edit your information as well as your communication preferences related to the Portal. At the top of the page, you will see your company name highlighted in blue and clicking the company name will take you to the Account Information page where you can review your account name, account number, phone numbers, website, billing address, and shipping address.

  • 4. Quotes

    View quotes related to BarTender software, maintenance and support, and add-on packages such as premium support or professional services.

  • 5. Order History

    View all your current and previous orders in the Order History section of the portal. View order details including order ID, purchase order number, order dates, amount per order, and the status of each order.

  • 6. Support Center

    The Support Center has guides, tutorials, knowledge base articles, explainer videos, and FAQs from both BarTender experts and the BarTender community. Find a topic you’d like to explore or search for a topic using the search box on the page.

3. Accessing Your BarTender Trial Download & Product Key Code

Ready to get started?

In this video walkthrough you will learn how to access your Portal account, how to navigate to the 30 day trial page, how to access your product key code, and how to download BarTender. 

Steps to access your product key code and download BarTender:

  1. Sign into the Portal
  2. Click 'Downloads' to navigate to the BarTender Download Center
  3. Click '30-Day Trial' to navigate to the trial landing page
  4. Click 'Get my trial license code' and fill out the form to retrieve your code
  5. Click 'Download BarTender 2022' to download BarTender
  6. Run the BarTender installer and input your product key code when the licensing page shows up

4. Installing BarTender

Once your BarTender software is downloaded, run the installer to start the process to install BarTender. In most cases, especially for trials, we recommend that you use the standard installation options. For additional help, check out the video or the installation guide below.

5. BarTender Licensing

To set up your BarTender licensing, you will need to have your Product Key Code (PKC) handy. If you're unsure where to access your PKC, view this FAQ.

To activate your license:

  1. Run the BarTender Licensing Wizard
  2. Click 'Activate a New License...'
  3. Enter your 16-digit alphanumeric product key code
  4. Select a licensing server
  5. Share the license with other computers on the network
  6. Finish the BarTender software registration
